The California Museum (a 501(c)3 non-profit organization)—home of the California Hall of Fame—preserves, presents, and creates California history while engaging, educating, and enlightening people about California’s unique contribution to the world through ideas, innovation, and culture. Through captivating, interactive, and innovative experiences, the Museum seeks to inspire men, women, and children to dream the California dream and dare to make their mark on history.

The Museum brings our rich and diverse history alive through the extraordinary collection of the California State Archives and other collections throughout the state. For the first time, California’s women have a home for their stories in a Museum about California history. The California Museum also promotes our artistic and cultural heritage. The California Museum provides an active, engaging center that serves as a bridge from the past to the future.
