The Abramsky Report Online Reveal Event

The Abramsky Report Online Reveal Event

Presented by Uptown Studios at Uptown Studios

Abramsky is a widely published political journalist, based in Sacramento. His work has appeared in numerous local and national publications over the past twenty-five years, from The Nation to The New Yorker online, from the Los Angeles Weekly to the Sacramento Bee.

Join Sasha in a discussion as he talks about his new political column website. Drinks will be provided; food trucks will be on site for dinner.

Abramsky’s reporting focuses on social justice themes, around housing, poverty, healthcare, incarceration, and, increasingly, immigration. Throughout the Trump presidency, he has chronicled the myriad injustices unleashed on different parts of the community by the Administration. He has reported from the border, detailed attacks on the social safety net, written about the moral implications of the separating of families and the imprisonment of immigrant children.

The Abramsky Report will be in addition to the work that Abramsky does for magazines. It will build off of the Sacramento Bee column that he wrote twice a month, from the summer of 2017 until February 2019, exploring the political, cultural, and moral implications of the Trump presidency. Once a week, subscribers will have access to a political column about the issues of the day. If the occasion merits it, The Abramsky Report will, at times, also publish additional columns beyond the once-a-week schedule.
