California Capital is an organization that provides small business owners with capacity building workshops, technical assistance for government contracting, and financing opportunities. Their mission is to provide business owners with the capital and capacity to serve their communities, which is made possible through their programs. To that, they have had the honor and pleasure of assisting and witnessing many of Sacramento’s businesses start and grow over the years.
Marketplace events were created to provide small business owners with a platform to put their product and/or service on display. These events are meant to highlight their hard work and dedication to the business they built and believe in. A majority of businesses California Capital has worked with are internet-based. Marketing, as many know, can be a challenge; and, as a small business owner, it can be a tad more strenuous without the right connections. They build websites, use social media sites, and depend on word of mouth. The hope and goal for these events is that this will help businesses gain exposure and long-lasting clientele. This is an opportunity for business owners to do business with the community as well as with other local business owners.
Twice a year, California Capital decided as an organization to host an event that would allow small business owners to come together in one place to create one big marketplace — a place equip for a unique shopping experience unlike any other in the Sacramento area! 30 small businesses will be in attendance this May selling everything from cosmetics, jewelry, soap, books, health and wellness services, and much more!
