Verizon presents Artists and Engineers Sacramento

Presented by City of Sacramento at Hacker Lab

What happens when art and tech collide? Artists and Engineers is an arts program to bring six pairs of Sacramento-based artists and engineers to collaborate on original artworks around one of four themes: Revealing the Invisible, The Future of Together, Speed and Humanity, and Portraits of Engineers. For project details, click here.

Society takes a lot of our technological world for granted, removing the human element from our understanding of systems like digital networks, civic projects, electrical grids, or chemical processes. But all technology has a human side. Artists and Engineers seeks to use the power of artists’ special perceptive abilities, creativity, and process to help the public experience a new view of some of the human themes of technology.

Verizon is bringing together six artists and six engineers to create six new works of art. Inspired by 5G. Powered by innovation, technology, and humanity.

This event was made possible by Verizon, Hiker Company, and the City of Sacramento.
