Paving the Way: Women's Struggle for Political Equ...

Presented by National Council of Jewish Women Sacramento at Albert Einstein Residence Center

Join the National Council of Jewish Women Sacramento for the Sunday brunch, “Paving the Way: Women’s Struggle for Political Equality in California,” at the Albert Einstein Residence Center. The authors, Steve and Susie Swatt, have written the first-ever history of California women’s fierce and stirring 170-year fight for political equality. They will share the stories of these courageous, trailblazing women, some of them Jewish, who overcame all odds in order to lead.

NCJW founder, Hannah G. Solomon, was one of the earliest Jewish women to run for elected office (in Illinois) in 1904 and 1916. NCJW Sacramento continues in the tradition of Hannah G. Solomon. Help celebrate her and all women who venture forth.
