Teagarden Jazz Festival for Young Musicians

Presented by Sacramento Jazz Education Foundation at Sacramento State (CSUS) Music Recital Hall

Teagarden Jazz Festival presents a weekend of jazz in Sacramento. The joy of New Orleans-style jazz is at the heart of this scholastic combo festival, which is dedicated to fostering a better appreciation of this classic American art form.

The day of jazz performances includes clinicians-led jam sessions, guest artist presentations, a New Orleans-style brass band parade on campus, awards, and more!

Jazz multi-instrumentalist Clint Baker from the Bay Area will be the featured guest artist with an all-star group of jazz educators: Chloe Feoranzo (reeds), Brandon Au (trombone), Bill Dendle (guitar/banjo), Jason Wanner (piano), Katie Cavera (bass/vocals), Ron Jones (drums).

Note: Friday’s Opening Night Concert will take place at the Rio Americano High School Performing Arts Center. Saturday’s All-Day Music Festival takes place at Sacramento State’s Capistrano Hall.
