Ched Drol Healing Ceremony (Tibetan Monks of Gaden Shartse)

Ched Drol Healing Ceremony (Tibetan Monks of Gaden Shartse)

Presented by Placerville Friends of Tibet at Burke Junction

Ched drol, in Tibetan, means “to make free of obstacles” and is a ritual for removing obstacles that hold us back from achieving enlightenment. This ritual involves a lot of audience participation, including having rainbow yarn, symbolizing negative patterns, wrapped around our neck and hands, then the string is ritually cut to symbolize cutting through obstacles that have held us back. Ched Drol has been a crowd favorite wherever the monks present it.

This event is part of a two week visit by the Gaden Shartse monastery monks.

All proceeds support the Gaden Shartse Monastery located in southern India.
