Sacramento’s vintage venue Fox and Goose presents and evening with According to Bazooka. The band was one of the finalist for a 2018 SAMMIES award in folk/bluegrass. The category, however, is just the beginning of their sound. Fresh textures of archtop guitar paired with accordion, upright bass and lush harmonies create original Americana Pop music that travels beyond the limits of it’s folk-rock roots. Based out of Davis, A2B is known for its unique and upbeat songwriting and clever lyrics with just the right combination of bitter and sweet. Infectious melodies and plenty of hooks wrapped in a retro feel gives this band a vibrant sound reminiscent of 1960s pop-rock.
These inviting tunes carry listeners on a playful journey of everyday humanity filled with life’s twists and turns. The band offers a charismatic show of well-crafted pop infused melodies that draw from rock and roll, blues, country, zydeco and more. The vibe is contagious as these musicians groove together as one to create irresistible musical interplay.
According to Bazooka celebrates two album releases and has a third to debut in 2019. Their 2017 record Where We Are Now was produced by Sac Pop talent David Houston (String Theory) and recorded at Moon Studio in Sacramento. A2B’s 2015 album debut Easy Come, Easy Go was recorded in Dixon at Foxtail Sound. Both albums share many delightful surprises.
