Are you going through a divorce and wonder how this is affecting your teen? Do you worry that your teens are going to get stuck in the middle? Or worse, that they might make bad choices during this time of transition, like let their grades drop or get into drugs and alcohol?
Many times, this major transition affects the whole family and during this stressful time you might not have enough resources to help your teens manage as well.
Help your teen(s) learn to cope in effective ways that will prevent them from sinking into depression, withdrawing, or acting out during this transition during this ongoing support group in downtown Roseville led by a passionate, licensed marriage-family therapist.
Teens (Ages 12-17) will learn to use art, walking, and communication to process this transition. Topics relevant to this age group on aspects of the transition include: Processing emotions and how to cope with changes, support system, handling worries, and creating two comfortable homes.
This program is led by Lori Hunter, LMFT who works with children and teens going through divorce. She also has experienced this herself as a child and with her children going through her own divorce.
