The Street Soccer USA (SSUSA) National Cup is a three-day street soccer tournament that will transform Old Sacramento Waterfront’s “1849 Scene” Historic Park into a 4v4 family-friendly street soccer festival.
Street Soccer USA is an exciting organization that uses the sport as a youth development tool to achieve outcomes in education and employment for the least served across the United States. Each year the SSUSA Cup Series takes places in center-city locations like Times Square NYC and Union Square SF. These premier events galvanize the community behind their work and raise awareness and funds for a year of programming. This year, the SSUSA’s biggest event, The National Cup, will be right here in Sacramento.
All teams will play three games in a pop-up stadium with the winner of each group advancing to the final rounds. At the end of the tournament 8 men and 8 women will be named to the SSUSA National team for the 2018 Homeless World Cup in Mexico City in November.
All event proceeds support Street Soccer USA’s efforts to support low-income and homeless youth in Sacramento through soccer.
