Who is Manjushri? Workshop

Presented by Placerville Friends of Tibet at Diamond Springs Center for Healing

The Tibetan monks of Gaden Shartse Monastery (in exile) in India present “Who is Manjushri?” Regarded as the Bodhisattva (Great Being) of Great Wisdom, Manjushri wields a fierce sword in his right hand to “cut through ignorance” and impart transcendental wisdom. This talk by the senior Geshe or monk on this tour of the United States will explain Manjushri’s significance in Tibetan Buddhism. Manjushri is also the subject of the sand mandala being made by the monks during their two week visit.
