Historic Home Tour

Historic Home Tour

Presented by Preservation Sacramento at J. Neely Johnson Park

Nestled between Downtown and Midtown, Alkali Flat includes Greek Revival, Craftsman, Victorian, Italianate, Eastlake, Colonial, and Queen Anne style architecture. Access homes built between 1853 and the early 1900s, when the neighborhood attracted prominent businesses, social, and political leaders. Tour-goers will also see a repurposed industrial building and modern in-fill project. The tour is sponsored by Preservation Sacramento, a citywide nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting Sacramento’s historic places and encouraging quality urban design through advocacy, outreach, and activism.

There will also be antique cars and a street fair with musicians, artists, and a mercado sponsored by the Washington Neighborhood Center.
