This is Sacramento State’s first-time celebration of food and healthy eating. The first part of the festival kicks off in the Library quad and will feature cooking demonstrations, an ASI pop-up pantry, CalFresh, food trucks, STORC Aquaponics display, solar cooking, educational booths, local sustainability partners, and campus resources. The festival will close with a keynote address by Raj Patel, author and expert on world food systems, at the Guy West Plaza (between Sequoia and Riverside halls).
Note: There will also be a special dinner following the festival. Sacramento State would like to thank their sponsors: Raley’s Family of Fine Stores, SMUD, California Department of Public Health’s Champions for Change, and Whole Foods.
