Bojagi construction involves hand stitching which can be very relaxing. In this workshop, taught by Youngmin Lee, you will learn how to use many small pieces of ramie, silk organza, and Korean silk gauze to create a geometric patterned bojagi. The finished project will have a unique composition of different shapes, lines, and textures.
Youngmin Lee is a Korean textile artist and instructor from the San Francisco Bay Area. She has an MFA in Fashion Design and her work has been shown at the Asian Museum, Hands of Korea in Romania, and Korean Bojagi Forum in Seoul, Korea.
