The 1937 State Theatre of Woodland closed in 2004. The gala is the preview of the Rebirth of the State Theatre documentary.
For the Street party experience, join your friends on Main Street in front of the State Theatre in Father Paddy’s beer garden where you have a choice of four different beers and Chef Justine’s snacks, and dance to a great ‘60s band – Four Barrel.
For a VIP experience, walk onto the red carpet and have your photo taken, and step into the beautiful art deco lobby and enjoy local gourmet appetizers and drinks provided by Morgan’s on Main, Savory Café, Las Brasas, Morgan’s Mill, House of Shah, Blue Note Brewing Company, and Uvaggio’s. The evening will include: a display of Paul W. Hollingshead’s historical photographs; a one-of-kind silent auction; a spin-the-wheel of great prizes; the year-long documentary created by Jeff Levich and David Wilkinson on the Rebirth of the State Theatre; the owner’s experience of restoring the theatre; and finally sinking into lounge seating for a “special” movie in the main theater.
The evening culminates with the ribbon cutting, plaque presentation and the lighting of the marquee.
