The ARC Phi Theta Kappa and ARC Psi Beta honor societies are working with community organizations, college departments, and campus groups to educate students and the community on a wide array of public health topics: disease prevention, mental health, homelessness, micro-aggression, and social inequity, among other topics. The event will consist of professional presentations and workshops, informational booths with resources, wellness activities, and a keynote address by Dr. Olivia Kasirye, the Sacramento County Health Officer.
Between 250 to 300 community members are expected to attend the event. There will be a free continental breakfast and a free lunch for attendees. Space is limited, so it is encouraged for prospective attendees to register as soon as possible!
The project is being funded by the ARC Foundation through the Fall 2016 Innovation Grant.
