Zorba the Greek Screening and Presentation

The year 2017 has been declared by the Ministry of Culture of the Hellenic Republic as “Nikos Kazantzakis Year.”

Join in for a special event to celebrate Kazantzakis Year! Politismos Museum of Greek History are honored to host Niki Stavrou, General Director of Kazantzakis Publications in Greece, for a special presentation about the author, followed by a special screening of Kazantzakis’s masterpiece, Zorba the Greek at the Sacramento State University Union Ballroom. Starring Anthony Quinn and Alan Bates, this 1964 Hollywood hit was nominated for 7 Academy Awards (including best film) and won 3 awards.

This event is hosted by Politismos Museum of Greek History and made free to the general public through a grant from the Annunciation Endowment Fund.
