Tai Chi (October-December)
Practicing this ancient Chinese form of exercise can boost your balance and prevent falls. This low-impact practice works to focus the mind on slow movement to reduce stress and produce mental calm; while deep breathing and standing meditation refocus consciousness, restore energy, and physical balance.
Tai Chi is led by instructor Michael Shane, a Shodan black belt in Shorin-Ji Ryu karate, who has been studying and teaching Tai Chi since 2007.
