Switchback Showcase

The Switchback Showcase is a celebration of the outdoors. This multi-faceted event is meant to inspire, encourage, and promote a love for getting outside. Whether you’re a full time avid hiker, or just looking to mix things up from your nine to five for the first time, this is for you.

The films we show about human powered travel are intended to be motivating and educational, showing how you can balance life with passion, push the limits of what is possible, and respect the unpredictability of nature.

The Showcase wil feature work from outdoor-inspired photographers and artists, a discussion panel of experts speaking on outdoor topics, Q/A sessions with outdoor filmmakers, food, and live music.

NOATAK: Return to the Artic and Unsupported, films by Jason Fitzpatrick of Mile, Mile and a Half will be shown as well High Sierra Trail by Chris Smead. Films you can see no where else! Directors Jason Fitzpatrick of The Muir Project, Chris Smead of Outmersive Films, Teresa Baker of African American Nature & Parks Experience., Jeff Hester of Northern California Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge and Robert Hanna, John Muir’s great great grandson will be there, too.
