Richard Jackson is internationally recognized for combining an irreverent sense of humor and sharp wit with an unconventional approach to painting. Influenced by Abstract Expressionism and action painting, the Sacramento-born artist meticulously engineers sculptures that spurt, splatter and spray his paint. Through these self-proclaimed “alleged” paintings, Jackson questions traditions in the contemporary art world.
