Sketch 101 Comedy Class

Sketch 101 will teach students the basics of writing, creating, and performing in sketch comedy shows similar to SNL, MadTV, Whitest Kids U Know, and Human Giant. You will learn to take those funny ideas and turn them into a live sketch comedy show.

Sacramento Comedy Spot’s sketch philosophy is similar to their improv philosophy – students will learn to create sketches with a clear focus and pattern using a variety of methods. At the completion of this class students will have a fundamental understanding of how sketch comedy shows are created and staged.

Note: This is an eight-week, reoccurring course. Students will be required to attend the Squad Patrol sketch show at least once while enrolled in this class. Classes are for Ages 17+.
