The Tibetan monks of Gaden Shartse Monastery in India will perform the cleansing and blessing ceremony at the Diamond Springs Center for Healing in preparation to begin the daily work on the sand mandala. Opening ceremony is followed by a talk by the monks on “Manjushri — Bodhisattva of Great Wisdom.”
The creation of the Manjushri Sand Mandala is the centerpiece for a full two weeks of events, ceremonies, talks and workshops the monks will be giving during their visit.
