RSVP Benefit Concert: Shoes4Sacramento

Reconciliation Singers Voices of Peace’s (RSVP’s) concerts this fall will feature vocal jazz, pop and gospel to provide support and raise awareness for Shoes4Sacramento, a non-profit charity dedicated to collecting new and gently used shoes that can be cleaned and redistributed to the homeless and families in need in the Sacramento region.

Joining the stage this season is an extraordinary talent; contemporary countertenor composer, and choral clinician, Darita Seth.

Darita recently concluded his tenure with Chanticleer, the Grammy Award-winning, San Francisco-based men’s vocal ensemble, and is one of the Bay Area’s most sought-after choral educators.

In addition to donations, RSVP will be collecting new and gently used shoes in all shapes and sizes: work shoes, athletic shoes, new flip-flops, new slippers, baby shoes, heels, work boots, rain boots, water shoes, sneakers, and sandals. Shoes4Sacramento especially needs men’s shoes and laundry detergent so they can wash the shoes before they are distributed.

RSVP’s mission is to bring people together through the arts and give back to the community. They are excited and proud to use the gift of live music to directly support such a needful organization, and to express their appreciation for the work being done by Shoes4Sacramento.
