Romeo and Juliet

The Davis Shakespeare Festival, returning for its 7th year, is proud to announce the fall continuation of the 2016 Festival with Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. The Davis Shakespeare Festival is one of the region’s premiere theatre festivals, providing the community with a local and unique theatre experience.

Everyone knows the plight of the world’s most famous lovers in Romeo and Juliet; and yet, this story is still told everywhere from school classrooms to theater to major motion pictures. The Davis Shakespeare Ensemble (DSE) approachs Romeo and Juliet with this ever-present nature in mind. DSE’s ten actors will be on stage from start to finish to form a modern-day “story circle,” supported by immersive sound and music.
