The Sunday Matinee Classics series at the Central Library will be presenting the 1962 classic, The Manchurian Candidate.
Based on the novel by Richard Condon and directed by John Frankenheimer, this political paranoia thriller, added to the National Film Registry in 1994, is a harrowing story of a brainwashed Korean War P.O.W. who becomes a political pawn to the powerful force of mental suggestion in a presidential race.
