Robin’s flock of 60+ Jacob sheep supply much of the unique spotted wool for hand spinning, knitting and weaving. For her show, Robin mostly used yarn from this year’s shearing. Many pieces are the natural color of her sheep. She also used natural dyes taken from her plants. For example, rusts and gold are from coreopsis, where greener yarns are from weeping willows. Robin explains that she also incorporates some yarns and dyes from local ranches.
She decided on the title of her show when a friend pointed out all the old windows she has accumulated. These windows will be incorporated into her show.
As an added bonus, Robin will also display her photography that captures the colors and flavors of Robin’s rural home and farm.
