Laguna Perspectives with Featured Artist Jason Richardson

While in the deep south of Brazil, Jason found inspiration in the often glaring sunlight and the rich blues that bounce off the Atlantic Ocean.

This short series, titled In the Shallows, is an exploration of light and water vessels on the interior lagoon of the city of Laguna, in the beautiful State of Santa Catarina.

These paintings debuting for the first time at The Art Studios were completed in 2019 using oil paints and canvas brought from the United States and local materials to construct the frames and textures on the canvases.
