Junk 2 Genius

ReCreate invites you and your coworkers to participate in or simply watch this years annual Junk 2 Genius. This event will be a raucous display of competitive creativity in which teams battle the clock to make masterpieces out of diverted materials.

Each team of 2-8 people will be given 3 hours to turn a mysterious box of cast-off materials into a sculptural piece of art. Each team is required to bring their own tools and imaginations to turn this trash into treasure. This event is a great way to bond with coworkers and build teamwork!

All proceeds will be given to ReCreate, a nonprofit dedicated to creatively reuse unwanted materials for use in art, science, and maker education projects. ReCreate provides model instruction for building student innovation and interest in STEM disciplines and to help develop a future workforce in our region by offering after-school STEM enrichment programs at low or no cost to Title 1 schools.
