Hard to believe the Mills Station Arts and Culture Center (the MACC) is turning 5 this year! They are having a birthday celebration to mark this milestone of creativity and investment in the community of Rancho Cordova. The City and Community of Rancho Cordova support the center through a grant called the CEIF grant (Community Enhancement and Investment Fund). Christopher Creek will be here Thursday and Friday nights to talk about his art and share his experiences. We also are hosting a Fundraiser for the Soroptimists of Gold River/Rancho Cordova, and tickets can be purchased through October 4th. We will be premiering a documentary by Bill George about the History of Rancho Cordova from the Gold Rush Era to the Space Race.  Also during this show we will have our first Local Authors Day event on Saturday the 15th of October from 11-3 pm. Over 17 authors will be here at the MACC to talk about their books, sell their books, and sign copies. If you like Oreo’s you can join in on our Oreo Eating Contest on Saturday Oct. 22, sign up online at RCMACC.ORG

 

Free Concert with Gloria T and the Master Groovers in a free outdoor concert on the plaza. We will have Gyros2Go for food and culinary desires. Wine and Beer will be for sale inside the gallery. Reserve your VIP table for only $10.00 on our website.
