Harpdog Brown

Widely considered one of Canada’s top harmonica players, Vancouver-based blues musician Harpdog Brown will perform at The Torch Club.

Brown is on tour in the U.S. to promote his most recent album, Travelin’ With the Blues, which includes a duet with the renowned American blues master Charlie Musselwhite. One premier music magazine has called Brown “the bona fide, totally authentic purveyor of heart-and-soul, down-in-the-alley blues.”

Harpdog Brown is a three-time Maple Blues Award Winner, a Juno nominee, and the only Canadian artist to win the coveted Muddy Award. A gifted vocalist and imaginative harmonica player, he’s been called a “blues evangelist.” Brown delivers his messages in the traditional sound of early electric blues. Think of the old Chess Records and Sun Records of the late 1940s and early 1950s.
