The Harris Center is very proud to present this world-class performance of Handel’s “Messiah,” which promises to be a high point for the capital region this holiday season.
The very first time Handel’s “Messiah” was performed in America, it was performed in a tavern in New York. The second, and perhaps more famous, performance was at Manhattan’s Trinity Wall Street, a parish down the street from the tavern, in New York City in 1770.
