Free Tour of the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area
Tule and cattails are reaching their new green growth skyward while the willows and cottonwoods are sprouting leaves. The bird species in the Wildlife Area are shifting as well. As winter migrants like Northern Shovelers and Pintails are beginning their journey north, the summertime visitors such as Swainson’s Hawks and shorebirds species are returning! Nests are being built, birds are chirping, flowers are blooming, and the area truly feels like spring.
