FiberFusion

The Artery presents FiberFusion, fiber art created by Lucy Della Rosa and Sharon McCallum. Lucy and Sharon will be filling our gallery with weaving, scarves, and hats. Lucy is primarily a weaver, but for this show, she also explores different types of felting. With both types of textiles, she plays colors against each other and enjoys the two very different approaches. One is designed with a methodical execution while the other is often planned as she proceeds, with a much freer technique.

Sharon describes herself as a colorist, weaver, and designer. She enjoys painting with yarn to create modern pieces in unique colorations and textures. Much of her inspiration and passion comes from her early exposure to tapestry and her extensive travels around the world, especially Guatemala.
