The Dave Bass Sextet with Jeff Chambers

The Dave Bass Sextet – with special guest Jeff Chambers on bass, Michelle Deveaux on vocals, Carlos McCoy (director of Sacramento State’s Latin-Jazz Department) on flute, clarinet and sax, Jack Stanfill (drums) and the Bay Area’s David Frazier on conga and percussion will perform two of Dave’s newest compositions along with new arrangements of tunes done for the first time by this sextet.

In addition to performing these tunes the Sextet will also present compositions from Dave’s 2015 album, “NYC Sessions,” which DownBeat gave 4 Stars to and named one of the “best albums of 2015.”  Dave’s special guest, bassist Jeff Chambers, has performed and recorded with Dizzy Gillespie, Ahmad Jamal, Gonzalo Rubacaba and Ignacio Berroa. For this special concert, Dave will playing a handmade Shiguru 9’ grand piano provided by The Piano Store in Roseville.
