Crocker Classical Concerts: The Chevalier Project

The life and music of French-Sengelese, composer Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint Georges, has largely been overlooked until now. We welcome you to honor the Chevalier’s musical contributions at a major celebration of his life and work. Through music, narration, and shadow artistry, the Chevalier Project brings to life the talent of Saint-Georges. Audiences of all ages will glimpse the challenges he faced because of his skin color, and get a sense of his strength of character, intellectual prowess, and exceptional gift for music.
