The images of young Clara battling the Giant Mouse King, being saved by her Nutcracker Prince, and then journeying to the magical Snowflake Forest and Kingdom of the Sweets have become a part of our culture. Joining the professional company in this annual production are more than 500 youngsters from throughout the region who take their first “leap” into the world of performing arts with the Sacramento Ballet, making it a true holiday spectacular.

Join the Sacramento Ballet to learn more about our favorite holiday tradition! Arrive at the theatre by 12:30pm to watch the end of company class on stage, see the stagehands begin preparations for the performance, and talk with our Artistic Directors, the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier about what makes this ballet a magical experience for everyone involved!
