Cars That Care: Car Show and Toy Drive

Southgate Recreation & Park District is hosting its first annual Cars That Care car show and toy drive.

This fundraising event and toy drive will support the District’s Evening with Santa Program, which will happen on December 13. Car show entrants and spectators are encouraged to bring a new unwrapped toy or gift for a child 1-17 years old, to be shared with a local child at the Evening with Santa event. Each year, the Evening with Santa program provides up to 350 District residents, who qualify for financial assistance, with dinner prepared by The Embarcadero Lions Club and gifts for each child.

They are expecting roughly 80 cars to participate and around 300-400 spectators.
