Delbert Bump has written for big bands, combos, television, and radio, and has received numerous awards. His output as a composer with respect to the jazz literature is significant as he maintains a full schedule as a local and national performer, as well as, educator. Known for his swinging B3 work, Delbert makes his debut SJC appearance at jazz at Date, with Bumpin’ it Up on piano, along with Chris Amberger on bass, Brian Kendrick on drums, and Noel Jewkes on reeds.
