British Invasion Party

Step back into the swinging sixties where everything was “groovy baby” and “shagadelic,” where rock stars were fab, and the cars were posh.

The California Automobile Museum is proud to present the British Invasion: A Night of Cool Cars, Hot Food, and Groovy Music. This is an exclusive behind the scenes launch party celebrating the opening of the Museum’s newest exhibit, “The Great British Motoring Exhibit: From Crown to Commoners” Quite! Indeed!

Park your ride in the car park and saunter into the Museum for an evening of themed appetizers, swinging music, and, of course, the blindingly brilliant collection of British cars that makes up the newest exhibit.

The party kicks off with appetizers and a cash bar. Channel your inner Austin Powers and come dressed in your favorite British attire, or other mod outfit and be entered to win lovely prizes. Dance The Locomotion, The Hitch Hicker, or the Pony to some of Britain’s best known rock ‘n’ roll, snack on scrummy mini Beef Wellingtons and veggie samosas, or have a gander at the cars on display and read about their history and impact on both British and American culture.

Later, join the museum’s curator Carly Starr for a short presentation about the exhibit. Games and fun will be on hand then Bob’s your uncle!
