The 442nd: Japanese-American Soldiers in WWII

The 442nd was the most decorated unit of WWII. While their families were confined in American internment camps, these soldiers fought to rescue the Texas 1st Battalion 141st Infantry that was lost behind enemy lines.

Sato and Kiyomura will talk about their personal connection to the fighters in the regiment and its connection to the internment camps.

Their art work for the novel 442, which they created with Koji Sakai, will be on display, as they discuss how they developed their fictionalized
